Once operational in December, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, complementing its existing routes to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. With the new Gdansk and Katowice routes, Air Arabia will significantly expand its direct flight options to Poland, beyond its current coverage of two cities.
Gdansk Joins Growing Polish Network in Air Arabia’s Schedule
This route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European schedule from Sharjah, which includes destinations such as Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced upcoming services to Frankfurt and Katowice, further extending its European network. The addition of Gdansk offers travelers in the Pomeranian region a direct scheduled link to the UAE via Sharjah, and provides a new gateway on Poland’s Baltic coast.

Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the importance of the direct Sharjah connection for the Pomeranian area, noting that Sharjah serves as a transfer hub for destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport, serving the larger Tri-City area which encompasses Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other northern communities, benefits from this new route.
Five Weekly Flights Link Sharjah and Gdansk
Air Arabia’s fleet, consisting of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, will operate these routes. Bookings for the Gdansk flights are available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for Monday and Saturday flights, while flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly rotations provide nonstop service both ways between the two airports.
The launch of the Gdansk route on December 14 will precede the start of Air Arabia’s planned Katowice flights by three days. With existing connections to Krakow and Warsaw, the December expansion will bring the airline’s Polish destinations to a total of four.
