Both presidents emphasized the strength of ties between the countries and their peoples. The talks also addressed economic and social wellbeing, according to official accounts. Regional affairs formed another major part of the discussions. The presidents exchanged views on recent developments in the Middle East and ongoing efforts to address them. They stressed the need to prevent further escalation across the region. Both leaders called for continued consultation, coordination, and joint action. They said closer cooperation was necessary to protect regional security and stability while the region faces shared political and security challenges.
