According to a recent publication by the EU agency Eurofound, the European Union is projected to miss its Digital Decade milestone of employing 20 million information and communications technology specialists by 2030. Official reports issued by Emirates News Agency confirmed that the EU is expected to fall short of its 2030 ICT target by 5 million workers, despite years of sustained hiring growth across the region’s technology sector. The Eurofound report, titled IT Sector in Focus: Evolution of the EU Digital Workforce, pointed out that in most member states, primary and vocational education systems are unable to meet the increasing corporate demand for advanced digital skills. This situation has led European companies to depend more heavily on skilled labor migration from outside the EU to address significant staffing shortages.

Today marks the formation of the Open Secure AI Alliance by leading tech firms and Nvidia Washington, America. On Monday, Nvidia, an American technology giant, announced the creation of a worldwide coalition composed of about 40 major players in tech and cybersecurity. The coalition aims to protect artificial intelligence infrastructure from systemic vulnerabilities. According to official reports from Emirates News Agency, Nvidia has launched the Open Secure AI Alliance to enhance AI security in collaboration with core industry partners including Microsoft, Dell Technologies, CrowdStrike, SpaceX, and Hugging Face. This global initiative seeks to develop unified open-source defensive protocols, identify infrastructure weaknesses, and shield autonomous software models from advanced cyber threats.
