Designed by the late Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry, the 80,000-square-metre venue is situated within the Saadiyat Cultural District and is the largest museum within the international network operated by the Solomon R. The architectural design of the museum includes 30 indoor galleries offering 11,600 square metres of exhibition space, complemented by 23,000 square metres of outdoor display zones. A central atrium connects these spaces, with the skyline defined by ten sculptural cones, nine of which are clad in stainless steel mesh while one features onyx and glass.
